SPRING BRED HEIFERS
AI to Mogck Bullseye on 5-19-12. Pasture exposed to Hoover Emperor from 6-4-12
to 8-8-12. Ultrasound safe to Emperor, due approximately April 19, 2013.
K93 will be a moderate framed, easy fleshing, pretty cow just like her mother. She
is super wide topped, deep ribbed, feminine fronted with a big quarter. Auctioneer
Dustin Carter put extra stars by her!
Due to calve a little bit later, but lucky for you, the “clean-up” bull she is bred to is one
of Genex’s up-and-coming young sires! This mating should work very well!
K93 was a short gestation calf typical of Reward progeny. She was 7 days early.
Dam E68 is a sweet, easy going cow that never gets in a hurry to move anywhere.A
nice daughter sold to Mittag Show Cattle, and a super deep bull calf to Thom Baker.
E68 ties as the 3
rd
high IMF ratio cow in the Hoover herd with 2-130 IMF ratio! The
often antagonistic traits of marbling and fertility are both exemplified in this cow –
E68 maintains a perfect 365 day calving interval.
K93 has the 5
th
lowest BW EPD among the 200+ head selling today! She also has
the top CED of all the females selling!

Twin to lot 147.
AI to Basin Excitement on 5-19-12. Pasture exposed to Connealy Direct Deposit
from 6-4-12 to 8-8-12. Ultrasound safe to Excitement, due approximately February
25, 2013.
Here is a great opportunity to select two identically pedigreed heifers, bred to the
exact same bull and due to calve the exact same day! These two twins will certainly
make a good pair!
My notes from breeding time say both of these heifers will make nice sized cows
just like their mother – not too big or too hard on feed resources. Both are long, deep
bodied females.
Dam E474 has produced sons for repeat customers Rod Hart and Jon Meyer. Both
Rod and Jon know how to find the good ones!
Grandam A509 was a small Neutron cow that achieved Pathfinder status.
An interesting pedigree trace was found with these twin heifers – they go back 17
generations of Keymura females to “Miss Keymura”, a Hoover cow, and the oldest
female in this pedigree for which the AAA has ownership records online.
These twin heifers tie as the top Docility EPD spring bred heifers to sell! They also
tie as the 2
nd
top $W bred females!

My tailgate has the pictures of Gridiron and CC&7 along with the
slogan“Got Semen?”. A couple of months ago, I took Andrew
to Des Moines to the oral surgeon to get four wisdom teeth
extracted. After the surgery, the surgeon pulls out his cell phone
with a picture of my tailgate on his phone and asks Andrew,“Is
this your truck parked outside?”Of course Andrew in his black
cowboy hat and boots was the logical candidate for such a truck,
as the other patients in the clinic that day included a woman in
her 20’s with tattoos on her neck and 5 children (the 6th one on
the way), two people that didn’t speak English, and a frail elderly
lady.
