★
L177 is a nice patterned bull that is easy to look at. He would be a nice choice to
follow up on CC&7 genetics in your herd. He is a superb calving ease candidate with
a great EPD spread from birth to yearling!
★
★
L177 is a unique individual that offers the 2
nd
lowest BW EPD, 3
rd
highest CED, and
5
th
top YW EPD among the yearling bulls selling!
★
★
Dam J88 was a first calf heifer. She was born on a darn cold day, and lost her ears,
tail, and the tip of her nose. That didn’t hurt her ability to survive and thrive!
★
★
Grandam G280 was a high IMF heifer, scanning a 7.00 IMF, ratio 131. She has a
tremendous set of carcass EPDs.
★
★
Please read about great grandam C50 in the footnote of lot 44. Her 6 ET progeny
sold in 2012 grossed over $50,000!

The 11
th
top weaning weight bull calf of the crop! L280 is deep bodied, soggy, and
has lots of stretch. One of the top Excitement sons of the crop, and an outcross
pedigree to CC&7 and Gridiron!
★
★
Dam H115 is emerging as one of our very top cows. In fact, she ties as the 3
rd
top
indexing cow of the Hoover herd! She is a deep sided, long bodied, thick, pretty
made female with a beautiful udder. A model Angus cow!
★
★
H115’s first son was a photo feature and the 2
nd
top weaning weight bull calf of his
crop selling to repeat customer Kirk Egbert in Idaho. This bull turned in an 846
pound weaning weight and 1488 pound yearling weight! Kirk sends good reports
on his Hoover bulls.
★
★
H115’s individual performance: BW 72 lbs., WW 682 lbs., WR 112,YW 972 lbs.,YR 110.
★
★
I’m going to save space and my tired fingers from typing footnotes and refer you to
read about phenomenal grandam C50 in her son’s footnote, lot 44.
★
★
Lot 42 is another high performing bull from this cow family.
★
★
L280 ties as the #1 YW EPD bull and 2
nd
highest WW EPD bull of the auction! Safe
for large framed heifers or cows. His WW & YW EPDs are above the top 1% of the
breed!

★
★
The most gentle bull of the 2012 crop! L27 will always find visitors and come up
wanting scratched. If disposition is important, put L27 at the top of your list.
★
★
Pathfinder dam C50 is one of my all-time “Top 5” favorite cows. We sold 6 ET
progeny out of C50 last year, members of the “Magnificent Seven”, which averaged
over $8600. Three sold for over $10,000. Among the ET bull calves in our 2011 crop,
three of C50’s bull calves swiped the top weaning weight honors, as #1, #2, and #3
adjusted weaning weight bulls.
★
★
6 of C50’s progeny to come to auction have been photo features.
★
★
Very keen cattlemen have selected C50’s progeny: Glen Hanson, McLean Ranches,
KDS Angus, Taylor Ridge, Dave Doud, Rich & Deb Hall, Tom Young, Kirk Egbert,
and Jay Henderson.
★
★
Two daughters of C50 work in the herd, one of which is the 3
rd
top indexing cow of
the herd! Read more about her in the footnote of lot 43.
★
★
We have stolen two flushes out of C50, and she immediately breeds right back. She
maintains a 362 day calving interval, and is due in January with a natural calf. Her
fertility is excellent.
★
★
C50 is a big, stout made, wide based, beautiful cow with an excellent udder. I can’t
speak highly enough about her!
★
★
Great grandam 227 has a 360 day calving interval on 13 progeny and is the 11
th
top
indexing cow of the Hoover herd! ‘Nuf said!
★
★
L27 is recommended for cows. His defining characteristic is his wonderful disposition!
