A balanced, correct made bull that gets high marks in my book! Several good
cattlemen have picked him as one of the top bull calves when visiting the farm. He is
long bodied, deep ribbed, big hipped, and good footed.
★
★
Dam’s first son to come to auction was a photo feature selling to repeat customer
Allan Dolecheck. With her excellent ratios and a 360 day calving interval, I’d say she
is marching towards Pathfinder status. She has a very nice udder.
★
★
G57 was a good scanning female, with a 6.28 IMF, ratio 117, ribeye 11.9”, ratio 105.
★
★
Grandam V52 is still going strong at nearly 14 years of age! Now because she is
an old cow and her EPDs haven’t caught up with her progeny’s good performance,
we use V52 as a registered recipient cow. In 2013, she is due with one of our most
valuable ET matings of a CC&7 daughter bred to Bullseye! 10 of V52’s natural calves
have come to auction, and the 11
th
one is her replacement daughter, G57, working in
the herd. V52 maintains a superb 364 day calving interval.

A beefy bull here that is big hipped, long bodied, big topped and has muscle!
★
★
Dam’s only daughter has been retained in the herd and will have her first calf in
March.
★
★
G238 is the 3
rd
high IMF ratio cow in the herd with 2-130 IMF ratio on her progeny!
She herself scanned a 7.85 IMF, ratio 147! G238 is a gentle cow and easy to work
with at calving time.
★
★
G238’s first son was the 14
th
top weaning weight bull calf of his crop and sold to long-
time repeat customer Carl Stephens. Carl was honored in 2012 with Page County
Cattlemen’s “Longevity” award for his years and service in the cattle business.
Congratulations Carl on a much deserved award!
★
★
Grandam B320 is best known for her superb daughters – three replacement
daughters, all by different sires, working at Hoover Angus have an average 105 WR
on their progeny!
★
★
We lost great grandam X42 to lightening, but she recorded 8-107 WR. She had a
352 day calving interval.
★
★
L238 is a high growth bull we recommend for use on cows.

One of my favorites of the crop! He is an extended bull that is deep, long, has
plenty of rib and guts along with muscle expression. His EPDs make him even more
attractive, as he exemplifies multi-trait excellence!
★
★
Dam G166 is a gentle cow whose first calf sold to repeat customers Roy & Rick
Reno. He was the 10
th
top weaning weight bull calf of his crop.
★
★
G166 was a low birth weight, high performing female: BW 52 lbs., WW 620 lbs., WR
105, YW 972 lbs., YR 109. She scanned a 12.5” ribeye to earn a Ribeye EPD above
the top 1% of the breed!
★
★
Pathfinder grandam D58 has served as a donor cow, and three full sibs to G166 are
being retained in the herd.
★
★
D58 has a set of twins that ratioed 105 and 112 at weaning that are not included
in her birth, wean, and yearling ratios above. Even after stealing a flush, D58 still
maintains a superb 363 day calving interval.
★
★
A featured daughter of D58 (and full sister to G166) sold to Gary and Bev Hitchcock,
and this female flushed 23 embryos as a virgin heifer! D58’s other progeny have
been selected by David Groth, Max Shaffer, Dennis Faust, and James Baur, all
repeat customers.
★
★
L245 ties as the 2
nd
highest YW EPD yearling bull of the auction with a YW EPD
above the top 1% of the breed! He is safe for use on heifers.

Weekly EPD Updates
The American Angus Association runs National Cattle
Evaluation (NCE) EPD updates every week, rather
than biannually. Non-parent animals with no data being
submitted will see very little EPD change on a weekly
basis. This catalog was printed with the spring 2013
NCE EPDs which went live 12-7-12. Visit
.
