BLKCP EMPRESS ELLSTON H138
S A Neutron 377 #
Blkcp Empress Ellston B286
Blackcap Empress R130
A big framed, long bodied, extended bull calf with a calving ease shaped head.
Dam H138 is certainly an up-and-coming young cow in our herd. She is a 13
th
generation Blackcap Empress Ellston female! From herd founders Walt & Sadye
Hoover, to John & Barb Kiburz, to David & Joy McFarland, and now 4
th
generation
Landi McFarland, each generation has worked to make a better cow herd. Our
technology, methods of selection, etc. have changed over time, but our goal has
not – to make the most profitable cattle to ensure customers’ success.
H138’s first daughter was the 8
th
top weaning weight and 2
nd
high yearling weight
heifer calf of her crop. She sells as a darn good heifer bred to Bullseye, lot 139.
H138 had very solid individual performance: BW 61 lbs., WW 623 lbs., WR 102, YW
933 lbs., YR 105, IMF 5.78, ratio 123, ribeye 11.6”, ratio 108. She has a “no holes”
set of EPDs.
Grandam B286 is still going strong at nearly 10 years of age. She is a never-miss
cow with a 363 day calving interval.
Fourth generation dam J350 still made the Pathfinder report at 13 years of age!
Only a handful of cows in the nation pull off this feat! She ended her career with 13-
99 BWR, 13-104 WR, 12-101 YR, and a 366 day calving interval. J350 is the great
grandam of Hoover Headliner J32, featured on page 5 of our herd sire directory.

A level topped, long bodied bull with rib, guts, and hip. He is a little more moderate
than most Journey sons, but still offers a tremendous EPD package. He presents a
different pedigree for our repeat customers.
Dam is a high marbling female that scanned a 6.53 IMF, ratio 122. Her sire was the
#1 IMF scanning bull of the 2003 Schaff calf crop!
Pathfinder grandam A80 was the high IMF heifer of her crop scanning a 7.11 IMF,
ratio 168! A80’s top son was a feature in our 2006 auction selling to repeat customer
Mark Triggs for $8000. He was the 4
th
high weaning weight bull calf of his crop.
Repeat customers Donald Pendleton, Randall Jeffries, and Roger Cerven selected
A80’s other progeny. A80 has a perfect 365 day calving interval.
Recommended for use on cows. Put this guy on your list if you feed out your calves
or retain ownership and sell them on the grid.
