FALL BULLS

K470 tied as the 6
th
top weaning weight bull of his crop at nearly 800 pounds out of a
first calf heifer! He is one of the biggest “spread” bulls of the auction with a BW EPD
in the best 25% of the breed to a YW EPD above the top 1%!
K470 is one of my favorite Excitement sons of the crop. He has lots of rib and
capacity, muscle shape, and length of body.
Dam H479 weaned at 720 lbs., WR 110, YW 1014 lbs., YR 110. She was the 7
th
top
weaning weight heifer of her crop and the 2
nd
high yearling weight heifer!
Grandam F492 has a perfect record, and with a calving interval of 352 days, looks
like she could be marching toward Pathfinder status in the February 2013 report.
Her second daughter was the #1 WW and #1 YW heifer of her crop. She has been
retained as a replacement.
Easily suited for heifers. This pedigree has no Gridiron or Neutron. K470 ties as
the top YW EPD bull selling! He also ties as the 3
rd
high WW EPD! For customers
feeding out their calves, his $F (Feedlot Value) is above the top 1% of the breed.

A little bit different pedigree here in this powerful Journey son. He is big butted, deep
ribbed, and has some shape and guts.
Dam E404 maintains a superb 349 day calving interval. Her first daughter in the herd
is doing a fine job.
Pathfinder grandamA652 produced a daughter selling to Craigmore Farm in Ontario.
Craigmore featured this female in their Canadian sale about 6 months later and over
doubled the money they paid for her!
A652’s latest daughter was the #1 IMF scanning heifer of her crop. A652 maintains
a 363 day calving interval on 8 progeny.
Following suit of his sire, K482 is one of the top $Beef bulls of the auction.
Recommended for heifers or cows. He is also one of the top WW and YW EPD fall
bulls to sell.

K491 is a deep ribbed bull with some shape, hip, and guts. He is a huge scrotal bull,
very common of the Journey sons! He has the 2
nd
biggest Scrotal EPD among all
animals selling! Studies have shown scrotal size is important for daughters’ fertility.
Dam is a moderate framed, easy fleshing female with a nice udder. She is easy to
work with at calving time. Daughters have been selected by Mark Grossman and
Craigmore Farm.
Grandam Z156 produced until 19 years of age and was David’s favorite cow. She
was a tiny cow that always weaned a huge percentage of her body weight. She
ended her career with 14-95 BWR, 14-107 WR, and a 360 day calving interval (her
first progeny were not recorded in Doc Shinkle’s herd). Two daughters have achieved
Pathfinder status.
Recommended for use on cows.

K492 is younger, but certainly a powerful bull! He caught my attention the other day,
and when I looked him up, I discovered he was the 2
nd
high weaning weight bull and
#1 yearling weight bull of the crop! He is a complete bull that is plenty deep, long,
and slick haired.
Dam was a first calf heifer. She is a very nice uddered female. H409 was the 10
th
heaviest weaning weight heifer of her crop at 712 pounds!
Grandam was lost way before her time, but she recorded 6-98 BWR, 6-107 WR, and
6-103 YR. One son was a photo feature bull.
Pathfinder great grandam V71 was one of our all-time favorites. She recorded 6-111
WR and produced four featured bull calves, two of which were lead-off bulls in past
production sales.
Fourth generation dam L759 was a legend. She recorded 14-109 WR and was one
of the very few females in our herd to produce both a Pathfinder son and daughter.
Recommended for heifers or cows.
