FALL BULLS
K436 is a good hipped, tight sheathed bull with good butt, quarter, and a little more
frame. The famous combination of CC&7 X Gridiron has once again done well!
Dam F458 is a very stout cow loaded with muscle. She is one of the prettiest females
in the fall herd. She maintains a 364 day calving interval.
Pathfinder grandam A608 is still cranking out good calves at 10 years of age! In fact
her last calf was the 2
nd
high weaning weight heifer calf of the crop! Like mother, like
daughter, A608 also has a 364 day calving interval.
Four of A608’s progeny have been among the top 5 weaning weight calves of their
respective crops. A608’s progeny work in 5 states.
Recommended for cows. K436 ties as the top Docility EPD fall bull! He has emerged
as one of my favorite bulls in the pen.

This CC&7 son is a square-made bull with lots of top, rib, good bone, and a solid set
of EPDs. He is a very calm bull.
K435 suffered a little on his weaning weight because he was transplanted onto
another dam a couple weeks after his mother died. Still weaning at over 700 pounds,
I’d say he has growth genetics in him!
Pathfinder dam Z345 has raised three sons that were among the top 10 weaning
weight bull calves of their respective crops! Sons have sold to Roger Cerven, Craig
Silk, Roger Tibben, Bruce Crumpacker, and Roy & Rick Reno, all repeat customers.
Roger’s bull was a featured, hunk of a bull!
Pathfinder grandam P196 has long been retired from the herd, but will always be
remembered as a great one. She recorded 11-104WR with a 359 day calving interval!
8 Pathfinders are found in this pedigree! I would expect K345’s daughters to be
gentle and very nice uddered.
Recommended for big framed heifers or cows. He is among the top 5 fall bulls selling
for Docility EPD!

As Auctioneer Dustin Carter would say, “Butt, nuts & guts”! K407 is really deep
ribbed, with length and shape.
Two full brothers, both features, have sold to repeat customers Bill Archer and Marvin
Ellis. Other very astute cattlemen that have selected S35’s progeny include Roy &
Rick Reno, Mark & Chris Cadle, Ed Smith, Mark Grossman, and Dave Hansen, all
repeat customers. S35 has been one of the best herd bull makers our herd has ever
seen!
A true calving ease bull here! Dam S35 has an average 66 pound birth weight on 13
progeny (one calf lost prior to wean).
Pathfinder S35 has an exceptional birth to weaning spread on her calves –
significantly below average birth weights, and significantly above average weaning
weights! At 14 years of age, S35 weaned K407 with an actual 700 pound weaning
weight – any cow that can do this at her age gets a gold star in my book!
Being an old cow, her EPDs do not reflect her true excellence!
The Hoover catalog is one of the few in the nation where you can still find cows in
production at 14 years of age. If longevity is important to you, select genetics from
herds that aren’t afraid to keep cows in the herd as long as they are still functional
and productive.
This bull comes highly recommended if you will retain replacement daughters and
want superior udder quality, soundness, and females with longevity.
K407 would be an excellent choice for heifers. He ties as the top Docility EPD fall
bull, ranking above the top 1% of the breed!

THE VALUE OF
A REGISTERED ANGUS BULL!
A registered Angus bull provides many advantages over a “purebred
Angus” bull with no registration paper. Here are some of the things
often taken for granted, yet these parts of the registration paper are
very important aspects of purchasing a registered Angus bull.
• The breeder’s name: This may be the most important part of the
paper. We are proud to supply superior genetics to you. Our name
and reputation is on the line of the bull you purchase from Hoover
Angus and we stand behind it.
• Permanent record of your ownership. For AngusSource
®
participation, all bulls used must be properly registered and
transferred by the breeder to your name.
• Pedigree record and proof of currently known genetic defect status.
• EPDs current as of registration print date, and registration number
to be able to access current EPDs 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year through the AAA site (available to both members and non-
members).
