Pathfinder dam Z99. . . where to start? Z99 has three times raised the #1 adjusted
weaning weight bull or heifer calf of the entire crop, and more recently, two of her
ET progeny have topped the ET heifer weaning weight divisions in the fall of 2011
and spring of 2012.

Three of Z99’s six daughters born in 2011-2012 sell today, lots 206, the #1 ET
weaning weight heifer calf of the fall 2011 crop and #2 yearling weight heifer, lot 207,

Z99 has long held the title of “Ribeye Queen” at Hoover Angus. Her 8 daughters
have averaged a 12.6” ribeye, her 4 sons a 15.6” ribeye. Breed average for heifers
is 9.67”, bulls is 12.41”.

Z99 is a survivor and a leader. Whenever we needed to move a group of cows, she
would be the first one to lead the group in the direction they were supposed to go.
When the neighbor’s white cow jumped in our pasture, it was Z99 who recognized
the threat and made the white cow feel unwelcome enough to leave!

Both Z99 and her dam V47 are superior uddered cows – I cannot find one way to
fault either cow’s udder. V47 is still working in the herd today at 13 years of age. She
is the base for added frame, length, and ribeye in the pedigrees of lots 206-208, and
all Carbon Copy progeny.

Pathfinder V47 has three times weaned the #2 adjusted weaning weight bull or
heifer calves of the crop. Volumes more could be written about this cow family!

top producing cow families ever to grace the pastures in Ellston, Iowa.

Dam C316 is a tremendously thick, deep bodied, easy fleshing, beefy cow that is a
model in the cow pasture.

In 2010, C316 produced the 15

top weaning weight heifer that went on to sell as the
co-top selling female of our 2012 auction at $20,000 to KDS Angus. This female’s
