This bull was weaned off at 51%, and his mother does it every year. She’s a first page calver in every red
book since being in production. She’s grown to be Reid’s favorite cow, she carries a pedigree of Blackrose
raised bulls top and bottom and that alone is something to be proud of. 94 consistently weans heavy
bulls and replacements to be kept, she has an interval of 361 days. Have calved out a full sister to this bull,
most likely going to be Reid’s 2nd favorite. This bull had 0.36” of backfat, that sounds over conditioned
for our program but if you were to look at this bull, he’s not. I relate this to easy fleshing, which this herd
