XXP was a surprise bull for us; every mating was more than we
expected. He has made more usable daughters than their mothers.
Seeing his first calf crop and how well they performed, we were
prompted to buy a son (X-Plus) at Sinclair Cattle Company. Schaff
Angus Valley bought an interest in XXP and they are offering 8 sons,
one of which is a maternal brother to SAV Resource 1441. It is said that
they will offer 8 sons in 2017 with more to follow in the future, I imagine
Kelly has seen that value just like we have. Our $10,000 top selling bull
in 2015 was sired by XXP, we have daughters in production, bulls in our
offering (along with grandsons) and calves on the ground right now,
and will continue to breed to XXP for his great genetic value. XXPs sire,
EXT, was used here in the early 90’s to correct structural flaws, poor
fertility, and the inconsistent phenotypes that were in the breed at that
time. The same reason EXT was used back then is why we’ve come
back with his line bred son.

Could be the best bull ever raised at Blackrose, a grandson of a 17-year-old Daquantae cow who’s still
on the place. This bull has been a favorite since his birth. His correctness, shape, and muscle expression
catch your eye every time, he’s truly a man amongst boys. This 161 cow is as consistent as her dam, she
weaned off 52% of her weight at 1410 lbs. Not an easy task to accomplish, and to accomplish it at a BCS
of 6 is phenomenal. Will retain semen interest. Top 5% for Rib Eye Area. 161 has a calving interval of 359
days. This XXP son has a scrotal circumference of 36.5cm, talk about early maturing daughters!
