Charlo was used as a calving ease outcross to help moderate some of our bigger cows. Mating him
to any cow will certainly reduce the mature size of their offspring, Charlo almost does it better than
Fortunate Son and they were both 53” hip height bulls. Charlo has been used as a heifer bull with great
success, our mating’s were strictly with mature cows. His calves had vigor, growth, and the ability to
express the power and mass of their sire. Charlo is a great grandson of Basin Rainmaker 654X, a cow
maker in his time, and is out of a Traveler 8180 cow. If you find Sitz Everelda Entense 1137 in a pedigree,
you can rest assured that the bull has great genetic potential, she is quite possibly the best cow ever
produced at Sitz Angus. Charlo has excellent EPDs for MW (-78) and CW (+18), they will allow you to
moderate future generations, he also carries some exceptional carcass traits. He’s a big positive scrotal
bull, his sons showed it. Also, I imagine his daughters will be early maturing.

One of the heaviest and biggest framed cows on the place, Charlo moderated her in a hurry. This calf
expresses a lot of natural thickness that compliments his width, depth, and good bone. 8936 cow’s dam was
a RR Ferdinand daughter who produced well into her teens. Could be used on heifers, having Shear Force’s
2.3 lb BW one generation back still needs to be considered. 8936 cow has a calving interval of 355 days.
