10 Registered Angus Open Heifers
First time consignors Hunter and Dan Nodsle of Westar Angus are bringing 10 really uniform registered Angus
heifer calves to Mandan. These late March and April born heifers are already registered with papers available
upon buyer’s request. They are quiet, bangs vaccinated, preg checked open, and on a complete vaccination
program including Bovi-Shield Gold 5, Ultra 7-way, One-shot and they have been poured. These fancy heifers
are sired by a high performing Chisum son, an Aberdeen son as well as a direct daughter of Priority and Final
Answer. Be sure to find this unique lot.

7 Black and Black Baldy Open Heifer Calves
The Schmaltz consignment is comprised of 7 deep bodied, easy fleshing broody open heifer calves. The heifers
are on a complete vaccination program and will be poured, Bangs vaccinated, and PG’ed open by sale day. The
heifers are hand fed a small amount of grain, and free choice hay. Leonard consistently brings a set of heifers
that are naturally thick, deep bodied, and easy going. Although small in numbers the quality here will be top-
notch. They are sired by sons of Extra 4X13, Missing Link, and Emblazon. Schmaltz’s cowherd is Angus
influenced and they have been using Mc Cumber bulls for 11 years. This set of docile open heifer calves have
that brood cow look.

10-15 Black Open Heifers
First time consigner Craig Strong is bringing a uniform, deep bodied, naturally thick set of black open heifers.
They are the heifer calves born from the Gottbreht bred heifer consignment from last year’s sale. The dams
would have multiple generations of Mc Cumber genetics behind them, and they are sired by a light birth son of
Emblazon, and a calving ease son of Sitz JLS Emulation EXT 536P from Mc Cumber. The heifers have been on
a complete vaccination program. They were given Bovishield 5, Vision 7 /somnus, and poured with Dectomax.
They will be Bangs vaccinated, PG’ed open, and are slick hided. The heifers are hand-fed and should make a
nice addition to anybody’s herd.
