The GENETRUST programs do
however, realize that for our genetics to
survive through the feeding and end product
phase of our industry that we still need to be
pay close attention to post weaning growth
and carcass traits. Every bull merchandized
through our sales has been evaluated at
weaning and deemed good enough to proceed
onto one of our bull development locations.
There they are evaluated for a 90 day period
for growth on a moderate energy ration that
will define their genetic differences but will
not over condition them and create longevity
problems for them later on. At the end of
that period they are ultrasound evaluated
for carcass traits by one of the most qualified
ultrasound technicians in the country Donnie
Robertson. Programs within GENETRUST
represent the longest continuous use of this
technology in the breed. At this yearling
evaluation bulls and females are again
evaluated and culled to further enhance the
quality and consistency of the product we
present to you. GENETRUST believes that
when you evaluate the data contained in
our sale catalogs from birth weight, growth,
maternal, carcass, and scrotal that you will
agree that we demand more.
