Open Heifers
As you all know, we pretty much sell heifers in birth date order but
we usually pick a couple of our favorites to put in the beginning.
This girl has been Steph’s favorite since she hit the ground. Pure
cow power in this lot. I would love to describe this heifer to you but
I think she just looks good enough you should come to the sale
and check her out yourself. Sired by the V aquero 636 bull that John
raised and sold to Jerry Kaup and he used extensively in his herd.
Of course, it is no surprise to me to see an old favorite cow in her
pedigree. This girl’s maternal line traces back to a foundation cow of
Steph’s that originated at Ed Artz’
s place. She just also happens to
be out of the same cow family as the Lot 3 heifers. The only thing to
fault this heifer for is maybe just a tick too much tailhead and since
John tagged her she has one ear that droops about an inch more
than the other but if you don’t think you like her kind, I can honestly
say that you will not hurt my feelings if no one wants her
. A dam that
boasts a 106 MPPA and a heifer with this much growth – I know
exactly what I would mate her to for a calf if she was my heifer!

Well if you missed out on Lot 1 then you better get a little faster for Lot 2.
She is every bit as good and maybe even better. Here is a deep-bodied,
wide-hipped big topped heifer with a lot of capacity – oh what a surprise!
She is sired by none other than High Capacity 224! You will like her kind
and style. Her dam has been a no-miss dam with a 105.2 MPPA.
