Thru the 2016 bull sale season there will be an ocean of bulls and some exceptional individuals as well selling but I would venture to say this
bull could hold his own from a multitude of trait evaluation. We had high hope and good intentions to get this bull in front of cattlemen and
cattlewomen at the 2016 NWSS as a member of our pen of three, but due to unfortunate circumstances, regretfully it didn’t happen. 501C is
a bull on the cutting edge that genetically can accelerate profit and performance on a broad base of economic, performance and modern day
profitability. EPD wise he starts with a CED of +9 (top 25%) and goes from birth wt of a very modest +.2,(top25%) gets to a WW of 67(top 2%)
and finishes the birth to yearling spread with a YW of 124(top1%). His Carcass merits are equally impressive as he boasts a CW of 62,(top1%) a
balanced MARB and REA of +.78(top 20% and 15% respectively) for each. Combine all of the performance, and economical traits and his $ values
read $W of +88.89(top 1%) and $B of 176.46(top 1%).
501C is no accident or stroke of good fortune, his PATHFINDER Dam is also the dam of YCC AAR Catalyst 305A who was the leadoff yearling
and high selling bull in the YCC sale in 2014, where he sold for $20,000 for 2/3 interest to Aristocrat Angus Ranch (Ben and Skylar Houston) of
Platteville, CO. Her 2014 born Sitz Wisdom son sold to Art Guttersen of Kersey who has assembled a commercial herd of approximately 1000
momma cows. Art also used YCC AAR Catalyst 305A in his heifer synchronization A.I program in the spring of 2015.
501C has been Zoetis 50k tested for a higher accuracy of epd traits and is halter broke. Selling full possession, and retaining 1/3 semen interest.
