Our New Brangus breeding program has taken the Brangus business by storm due to the difference making genetics we are producing. Our New Brangus (or
Ultrablack) cattle are different than all other Ultrablacks because of the sire power we select to use, but more importantly because we made our Ultrablack cattle with
the front end of our female donors rather than the common practice of using the bottom end females of most other programs. The first section of our sale catalog are
those bulls we call Ultrablack 1’s (UB1) and the next sire section are our Ultrablack 2’s (UB2). The UB1 cattle are a result of our first blend with Angus and Brangus.
The UB2 cattle are a result of mating our UB1 cattle back to Brangus. For those in the registered Brangus business the UB2 cattle can be mated back to Brangus
with the resulting animals being eligible to receive a R or Registered numerical prefix. EPD values listed in these sires were pulled from the Brangus database.
