Haugen Cattle Company is consigning another powerful set of 15 commercial purebred Angus heifers. Lynn’s
consignment to the last 2 year’s Angus Partners sales has been some of the top sellers of the day. These Febuary
2012 born heifers have been ultrasounded for calving date and represent the heifers that got bred by natural
service. The Haugen’s cowherd is influenced by some of the top bulls in the breed, which include Right Time,
VRD, and Final Answer to name a few. They purchase top end bulls and have built one of the top cowherds in
the Region. These gals are bred to Mc Cumber 4X13 Extra 975, who was the top selling bull in Mc Cumber’s
2010 bull sale and his dam is the top ratioing Pathfinder female in the Mc Cumber herd. In addition to him,
they were exposed to S Summit 257, the lead off yearling bull, and high selling Summit son from the 2013
Spickler Ranch sale. S Summit 257’s Pathfinder dam and Pathfinder grand dam are two of the deepest middled,
biggest bodied cows in the entire Spickler cowherd, and descend from a line of females responsible for
producing 2 other past sale toppers for Spickler Ranch. There is no guess work left here. Some of these heifers
would be eligible for registration. They have been on a complete calfhood vaccination program, as well as
complete breeding, and herd health program. They are poured with Dectomax and have had their first round of
ScourBos 9. This set of bred heifers represents an excellent opportunity to purchase herd building genetics from
a cowherd built to last.

Roger and Tyler have participated in the Angus Partners sale each year. The consignment for this year includes
heifers purchased from Sparrow Ranch and Crimmins Angus. A large portion of the Sparrow heifers are sired
by S Elevate 9165, the high selling bull at Spickler’s 2010 sale. The balance of the heifers are sired by sons of
Chisum, Rock, Foresight, King, Rainmaker, and Alliance. These heifers were summered together in one group
and bred to light birth bulls from Spickler Ranch, including two Lincoln sons, a 3313 son and a 5131 son. The
heifers are on a complete vaccination program, including bangs and preg guard, and many of them will weigh
1100 pounds by sale day. These top quality heifers will be sorted into tight calving intervals sale day.
