Lot 3 has been a favorite for a long time. We plugged her into our ET program and
produce a top Rollin Deep son that is now in the Cooksley’s program. Lot 3’s dam
was flushed extensively in the Basin program but we thought this daughter was
pretty good so moved forward with her. She has several ET calves coming and 8
daughters currently in the herd. The son in the Cooksley’s herd whom they have
nicknamed “Ferdinand” is currently at NBS, being collected and we are consider-
ing using him in our program.

The Galle cowline have been the highest performance cows we have owned. This
younger donor falls into the sale with a calving date after 4/1. We have 19 calves
out of her via our ET program and most are females so it’s very likely that she will
get replaced a couple of times by an even greater daughter.

Here is one that we should have flushed and didn’t. Lot 6 is black and is the grand-
dam of Mitigator C314. After having a look at 319W, Jesse and Charity decided that
Mitigator was one of the next bulls they wanted in their program. She comes bred
to Hard Drive Y120, making her twin bull calves as brother to Mitigator’s dam. Lot 6
has great type and great calving ease and Marbling.

Tilly 233U comes from the same great cowline that originates from BJR TILLY 862-62.
Ron bought a group of cows from Cliff Haugen in the fall of 1991 that were all 10
years old and really good cows. 2101 was her tag and she was the main founda-
tion for our Tilly cowline of today. 233U is 9 and was one of those cow that was open
last year because we had her in our ET program. She is the dam of Bieber Sparta-
cus A193 and has 35 calves to her credit via our ET program. We used Spartacus
heavily in 2015 and 2016 and already have a couple of sons to sample including
this year’s lead off bull. It is not easy to let cows like this go, but we have been com-
mitted to moving forward with our younger genetics.

We liked the Mission Statement daughters so well we have considered reverse
sorting some semen using it to produce only females in our IVF program. This
Primrose derivative has a son in the Pieper herd and several other top sons in com-
mercial herds. If you are looking to move REA in a positive direction this is a donor
you need to consider.
