Breeding Guarantee
All bulls selling have passed a Breeding
Soundness Evaluation (BSE) performed by
Pallone Veterinary Service, Dr. Mike Pallone,
Rose Bud, Arkansas. See page 39 for terms.
Trichomoniasis
Bulls have tested negative for Trichomoniasis
within 30 days of sale by Dr. Mike Pallone.
BVD-PI
All bulls have tested negative for persistent
infection with bovine viral diarrhea (BVD-PI)
within 30 days of sale by Dr. Mike Pallone.
Guaranteed Johnes-Free
All bulls are out of dams who tested negative
for Johnes (Fecal and Elisa tests) when bulls
were weaned. Bulls are considered Johnes-Free
and guaranteed as stated.
Ear Notches in Bull Lots
Town Creek Farm randomly selected 50 sale
bulls for a voluntary study conducted by
Mississippi State University led by Dr. Carla
Huston. Ear notch tissues were taken as a part
of a tick study to determine if breed differences
exist in reactivity to ticks. The study is on-going
relative to molecular aspects. Study bulls were
also tested for persistent infection with bovine
viral diarrhea (BVD-PI). All were negative.
Genetic Conditions
Bulls identified by pedigrees as potential
carriers of genetic conditions have been tested.
Test results available at sale time.
Retained Semen Interest In Bulls
Buyer has full possession and 100 percent
salvage value of bulls. Town Creek Farm retains
one-half revenue sharing semen interest in
bulls.
Special Lot Benefiting Jr. Brangus Breeders
Special Lot 142, page 38, will be offered to
comm ntate the 40th anniversary of the IJBBA.
