The Town Creek Farm staff, our Bull Production Partners and
Joy and I want to extend our welcome to our 2017 Sale. It’s been
an exciting venture transitioning from the Cow Creek Ranch
foundation herd to the cowherd we have today. We’ve faithfully
adhered to the founding principles of the Cow Creek Ranch genetic
program of fertility, forage efficiency, reproductive efficiency and
longevity. We’ve now stepped up selection pressure for other profit
traits including feed efficiency, performance, growth and carcass.
What sets us apart from other bull suppliers is that one-half of
our bull offering are FULL two-year-old bulls. Not just coming twos,
but full twos. Our industry has moved toward younger and younger
bulls that are developed at rapid speed on high energy rations.
We are confident that our slower-paced developed and older
bulls will last longer, cover more cows and get more females bred in
the front end of the breeding season. Our forage-based bull
development enhances hoof and leg structure with minimal to no
stress on hocks. Our bulls are athletes ready to go out and do their
job. At one of the last Cow Creek Ranch sales a cattleman told me
that you could wear out a pick-up truck looking for commercial
females of the quality we are selling on October 21st. These females
represent a unique opportunity to take advantage of Town Creek
Farm and Cow Creek Ranch customers who have stacked these
genetics for decades. These heifers are high quality replacement
heifers and powerful herd starter heifers.
Join us in West Point for a weekend of proven genetics, like-
minded cattlemen and good food and fun.
