This 3 4 blood Simmental son of PREMIER may not bring total outcross genetics to the game, but he could sure be an interesting key player in a Simmental program needing a herd sire
that is a little different in pedigree that can offer some performance with below average birth weight and very good economic index values.

escue and
volunteer summer grasses like common Bermuda,
crabgrass,
and clover,
very similar to the environment most of them will encounter when they
go out on their new work assignment. They remain in the large pasture
environment from the time they are weaned right up until sale time,
never
spending time in a dry lot environment.
Y
es,
we supplement our bulls with a high roughage,
properly balanced bull
developer ration consisting of soyhull pellets,
peanut by-product pellets,
cotton by-products,
ground hay,
a special mineral package,
and enough
extruded cottonseed meal to balance their protein needs. W
e never use
high starch cereal grains in our breeding cattle developer rations.
F
ar too many people excessively feed bulls on high starch cereal
grains because gains and fat bulls are satisfying to them,
but in
no way is it going to be satisfying to the customer long term.
Bulls need to be supplemented enough of a properly
balanced diet to insure proper development,
but
not to the excess of producing fat bulls.
