“Prestigious is defined as having high status. We believe the highest
status in our sale is to be the lead off Red Angus Bull. Prestigious cer-
tainly lives up to his name as he puts it all together: super type & kind,
plus amazing genetics in every trait along with an outcross pedigree to
many of the most influential pedigrees in the breed today allowing him
to be used heavily on heifers and cows across the industry. Takeover is
producing some of the very best bulls in the business and has been the
high selling sire group in many sales across the country. He also sired
the high selling spring sale bull in the breed. That’s impressive money,
but you know what? Prestigious has better CED, WW, YW, HP, YG, CW
and REA, in fact if you enter these EPDs into the RAA search you will
find he is the ONLY animal in the breed with these outstanding num-
bers. His top 1% MB and 3% ST are just icing on the cake.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, Prestigious’ phenotype might
be even better than his genotype! This deep dark red bull beautifully
combines depth and muscle, with outstanding structural soundness,
level top, front pasture looks, excellent feet, great docility and tremen-
dous width of base. His dam is built much the same way with a really
level udder, lots of milk and a powerful, broody look. Roddy, Justin and
Kim all of the Alexander family purchased this great female and we
are very proud that they are part of our outstanding Cooperator Team.

For the first time, we sold 20 straws of semen from some
of our very top young bulls back in the spring when they were year-
lings. We chose to do this because our school needed money to send
1/3 of the high school students to the State Golf Tournament in Austin
TX because we had 2 boys teams and 1 girls team qualify for the State
Tournament. Prestigious was chosen by the high bidder in the on-line
semen auction and sold for $350 per straw. It definitely helped pay for
the kids to go to state. We are proud to say that our Boy’s team won
the Championship & our son Lanham was the Gold Medal individual.

Throckmorton School. I am confident that his money raising efforts are
