Tumbling T Angus
Trevor & Amy Dam - Chuck and Nancy’s middle
daughter and husband- have Tumbling T
Angus. They ranch in Arthur County where they
run Registered Angus Cattle and also have a
commercial Angus herd. They run their cows
on pasture, cornstalks, and supplement with hay
and cake during the winter. Their bull calves are
fed at Roscoe after weaning with Graff Cattle on
Purina’s Limited Accuration with free choice of
grass hay. Tumbling T utilizes the herd sires in
their commercial Angus crop to see that the ge-
netics are being proven and the genetics have
been proven within their commercial herd with
an extensive AI program and a group of embryos
placed in cows each year at Tumbling T.
Herd Feeding Program
Graff Cattle cows are calved at Roscoe and AI’d in
April and early May on cool season grass. Cows
and calves go to Arthur County the end of May for
summer grazing. This past year we weaned late Au-
gust. Bull calves have been on Purina’s Limited Ac-
curation with free choice of grass hay. Heifer calves
are fed hay and conditioned for AI breeding in April.
Cows have remained on grass in Arthur County un-
til the cornstalks are available in the valley for graz-
ing until early January and then receive hay and the
cycle starts again.
