With feed costs high, in today’s cattle feeding environment , you need an
animal that will perform efficiently and hang a carcass that will generate
premiums above “average” cattle. We have been feeding Gengenbach Cat-
tle Co calves for the last six years and they have proven that they can do
both. The gains are well above the yard average and the conversions are
as well. We have been marketing these cattle through the US Premium
Beef grid in the spring and early summer. This grid works well for cattle
that grade choice and dress above the plant average as do the Gengenbach
cattle. The disposition of the cattle is excellent which makes everyones’
job easier. It has been a pleasure feeding Randy and Mary Jo’s cattle.

Currently Top Cut is the # 2 ranked Active parent black purebred SM bull for both combined weaning and yearling weight. No 1 is still his sire. If you want to improve your weaning and
yearling weights pick some of his sons and we guarantee you will see increased pounds. Top Cut is still sound, athletic and can really cover the cows. Add the consistent exceptional
growth and the fact that his calves do so well in the feedlot and on the grid we continue to use him. We continue to use some of the same matings with him but have added some
younger cows to give some different breeding for people who have been using him. Use these sons on cows and you will not have calving issues. We have yet to have a complaint
about his calving, instead we have had requests for more of his sons.
