A really nice patterned pair of full ET brothers! Perhaps the most over looked
advantage of embryo transfer allows commercial producers to latch on to multiple
brothers of the same age to produce the most consistent, uniform sired calf crop
possible. The disadvantage of embryo transfers is that someone always draws
the crumby recipient dam like 5072 did, but he will move on past that rougher
start in life. Their donor dam 1128 is a legend in our herd and the breed. Half
interest recently sold at 15 years of age for $30,000. A maternal sister topped
our only female sale and was in the top 5 for Show Female of the Year as a baby
calf! Another full brother won the Black Hills Stock Show and is a herd sire for
Cheyenne Charolais. A maternal brother sells as Lot 42.

I always feel like when I write footnotes on ET bulls I’m the sweet grandma in
the grocery store line that wants to tell you about her 29 great grandchildren
for 10 minutes. You’re happy for her but just don’t necessarily care. So I’ll
keep it brief! This is a neat genetic package for Charolais enthusiasts and
just a darn good beef bull, if you don’t care about the stories. We have 6
daughters of his dam SCC Ms Bud 418-1128 ET in our herd and wanted a
few more by embryo transfer; lucky for us we got this dude and two more
bulls selling as Lots 43 & 44. His maternal sisters have sold for upwards of
$40,000 and just keep coming. Here is a chance to own your own son
of the legends Turton and 1128.

Selling 1/2 interest and Spring possession
A truly intriguing individual on this year’s offering, in a breed where real honest
tried and true heifer bulls, are few and far between. Then ask for a maternal
tabulation, performance, shape, structural correctness and you’re down to a small
fraction of herd sire prospect calves born each year. Cruiser has built-in maternal
power and a perfect uddered dam; this Kojack son has real value. His Insight sired
mother calved him at under two years of age with a 77 pound birth weight, raised
him to a 724 lbs. adjusted weaning weight and oh yeah, got bred first service AI
to calve exactly one year later in 2016 with a 64 pound calf sired by Vaquero!
It is no accident he descends from perhaps the most prolific cow family at CD.
His pedigree reads like a who’s who of Charolais genetics on the top side with
Baldridge Kojack, Baldridge Fasttrack, LT Unlimited Ease, the Baldridge Sweetheart
line, Duke 914 and the Baldridge Elvira line! Then move to the bottom side of his
pedigree with his great maternal cow family of; 3006, 7112, 0047, Miss Lindskov
7109 and Miss Alliance 428! If you’re a purebred Charolais breeder looking for
a solution to your Ledger, Long Distance, Rushmore heifers jump on board here!

Out of a first calf heifer #5023 offers a neat tabulation for folks who desire
the Charolais advantage but want a conservative birth weight situation. He
has the lowest birth weight in the spring division, and with a -3.0 BW EPD
ranking in the top 5% of the breed! His mother is sired by the famed Fire
Water who has sired too many National Champions to count. His maternal
grand dam was the first purebred Charolais cow purchased by the Deutsch’s.
That same cow family produced Knob Creek for the Cannon’s!

This is a bull I have really enjoyed watching develop from day one. It was easy
to do given his mom is a beautiful patterned 13 year old brood cow. She is a
maternal sister to the legend “Blizzard”. A full sister was a featured donor at
the Thomas Ranch for a decade. His sire BNE Adrenaline was a bull I found in
Canada in 2014, he featured a 1,550 lbs. yearling stat. The American Charolais
Association makes imported bulls 0 in all EPD categories and as the bulls produce
progeny they build their own EPD profile. Unfortunately we lost this bull after
his first breeding season with just a couple calves coming. Therefore an astute
breeder will realize that his genetic makeup far exceeds his dismal EPD profile.
