If you have never had the opportunity to attend a Boyd Beef sale I would like to personally invite you to be with us this year as you will
find a superb set of Angus bulls that all offer a set of genomic enhanced EPDs allowing you to make genetic selections with increased predict-
ability. This year’s offering will be highlighted with several direct sons of Boyd Signature 1014, a bull who continues to do a great job through-
out the country transmitting added power, growth, and carcass value to his progeny. In addition to the stout set of Signature sons, there is also
an excellent set of bulls that descend from the great Abigale family leading off with flush brothers sired by VAR Reserve 1111 and Sitz Logic
Y46 produced from Boyd Abigale 0001, a donor in the Boyd program who is doing a phenomenal job. In addition to these bulls, there is also a
stout set of bulls produced from the dam of Boyd Cartwright 3303 selling. Again this year, the Myers Angus program is participating with a set
of bulls that excel in their EPD values and are backed by cow families developed in that performance program that offer proven predictable
genetics.
Thirty excellent Hereford bulls will be selling this year, several of which will fit into any prominent purebred program as they are backed
by AI sires that have proven to make an impact in the breed. For commercial cattlemen looking to find a Hereford or Angus bull to make a set
of productive black baldy females, you will find a set of Hereford bulls that are rich in maternal values that will also add pounds and perfor-
mance to the steer mates.
Each year this sale is a highlight of the spring bull sale season and I can assure you that this year’s bull sale offering is the deepest set of
bulls ever offered in over 100 years of breeding superior Angus and Hereford genetics from the Boyd program. This family makes 100% of
their living in breeding purebred cattle and understands the value of assisting their customers. This year marked the third year for their genetic
influenced customer appreciation feeder calf sale which saw extra premiums paid on their customer’s calves.
