In your search for a herd bull if your list of criteria includes moderate
framed, big boned and big footed, super rib shape, thick topped and
performance to compete with bulls two frame sizes larger look no
further. 98A is sired by Suhn’s Dimension 894U18 who was one of the
most talked about bulls when he sold in the 2010 Suhn Cattle Co. Bull
Sale to Vorel Farms. This lot very closely resembles his sire but with
added pounds and data. 98A posted an AWW of 757 lb. to ratio 104.
He went on to establish an AYW of 1375 lb. to ratio 108 and scanned
an AREA of 15.46 to ratio 105. His dam has been a standout producer
for the Hughes’s and has done what needs to be expected of all cows—
calve every year on time and wean an above average calf. She has seven
progeny records at weaning with an AWWR of 104 and six progeny with
an AYWR of 105. Those six progeny have posted a REAR of 104 and an
AIMFR of 107. Plus the fact of being sired by Dimension, a Garrett son
and a dam by Backside with New Era on the bottom side presents an
outcross to many of current and popular bloodlines.
