Ranking first for adj. YW and YW EPD in a 34-head yearling contemporary group,
this bull merits some serious consideration as a herd sire candidate.
Big spread with good carcass, and a rugged kind of well-made herd bull.
Top 1% for YW, $F and CW, top 2% $B, top 5% WW and top 10% for HP EPD,
with a negative BW is a pretty rare combination.
Maternal brother, SydGen Liberty GA 8627, was the top-selling bull of the 2009

sion, selling to Brandt Angus Farm, Corning, IA, while another brother brought
$4,500 in the bull calf division to Bernard and Carla Taylor, Houston, MO.

We are certain most buyers of these fall yearlings (Lots
76-177)
will want to take them home after the sale. They are
semen-checked, vaccinated, and ready to go. If you would
like to leave him here on our wintering program until April,
the cost will be $400. This will include a re-check on his se-
men test.
There are four weaning contemporary groups in this set of
bulls. Most were raised at either our Garcia or Dodson loca-
tion and there were seven ET calves in the group from Garcia.
Those bulls are cataloged as Lots 120-177. Lots 76-119 have
three basic contemporary groups: natural calves out of mixed-
age cows at the Elsberry place, natural calves out of two-
year-olds, ET calves with commercial dams, and ET calves
out of registered recipients raised at our Elsberry location.
Those four groups were fed in one feeding group. Average
Daily Gain on all the bulls was up to 3.89 lbs./day this year,
given there was less grass in the paddocks than usual. Aver-
age frame score on all bulls was 6.0 and average adj. SC was
37.1
cm.
Calves were brought in from all locations and weaned, with
