“Lagniappe”
was one of my
favorite Cajun word I came to
know while living around New
Orleans. It’s an attitude, it’s a
philosophy, it’s the way to sell
our cattle. We want you to
experience the “something
extra”we bring to these
offerings. Whether our cattle
are “home-raised”or
purchased, managed and
developed here, we are “stewards”of these animals and act accordingly.
God has granted us the wonderful opportunity to raise and care for
these animals and He guides us to give people more than they would
necessarily ask for. He gave us the gracious gift in the Christ, and that, in
turn, gives us the desire to bring
“lagniappe”
to you.
Greetings to you, potential buyers at this Missouri Red
Angus Association Spring sale here in Springfield!
Sue and I extend our warmest welcome to you and hope you
find that “something extra” we intend to offer to you in this
group of bred heifers and coming 3-year bred cows.
First, we think
Bieber Real McCoy Y124
brings “something
extra” to this offering. We’d challenge anyone to find a bull
who’s top end on all his traits – calving ease, growth,
maternal & carcass. Look at his EPDs and see how many are
in the top % of the breed.
Second, Real McCoy is both the A.I. and pasture exposure
bull. You’ll receive the “bonus” of a large group of half
siblings all tightly grouped in age. Expect a very tight
calving window.
Third, both the registered and the commercial cattle in this
group are very good cattle. The commercial, coming 3-yr old
cattle are uniform, gentle and very good mothers. They are
basically 100% Red Angus (just commercial). The registered
heifers are top notch as you’ll see and mated with Real
McCoy will give you a great package to build a herd.
Welcome to Springfield and let
us offer you “something
extra”…

Bred Heifers
To demonstrate the power and
influence Bieber Real McCoy
Y124 will have on the progeny of
these heifers, consider the
following calving and growth
EPDs:
Both heifer and bull offspring will
possess the genetics to be good
mothers with long productive lives.
Whether it’s a bull or heifer who’s
passing these genes onto subsequent
generations, between 72-79% of the
offspring will be in the Top 25% of
the Red Angus breed for these
genetic traits.
The progeny of these mating with
Bieber Real McCoy Y124 will produce
calves that will do well on the rail.
Nearly 50% will have marbling
characteristics in the top 25% of the
breed. Yet, almost 80% will have
Carcass Weight traits in the top 25% of
the breed and a whopping 97% will
have Ribeye Area EPDs in the top 25%
of the breed.
