Dear Brangus Family & Friends,
Welcome to our Eleventh Annual Winning Tradition Sale!.......the beginning of our second decade of providing the best Registered Brangus
around……not bragging…….just FACT!
This last year, not personally leading our exclusive product into the show ring was different and, at times, nostalgic; however, we have
delighted in watching our customers, once again, be in the Winner’s Circle.
In addition, we also feel our value in the Registered Brangus breed has been to supply top notch Brangus bulls to our commercial friends.
This year, for the second year in a row, JLS has produced and sold the top selling bull in the All Breed’s Bull Sale at the San Antonio
Livestock Show. This just reinforces our belief that the true Brangus (3/8 x 5/8) is the top breed, and the one in the most demand!
Seems like every year in our letter, we talk about the drought conditions. We are thankful for the heat tolerance of our Brangus breed and
their adaptability. They not only survive, but thrive in South Texas, as we know they do in all areas of our country.
About our offering:
*For the first time, we are offering one of the elite 915C daughters. After you see her, you will wonder what Jeff and I were
thinking when we decided to put her in this year’s sale. 915S26 is very special! You can build an entire herd around her.
*From our “breeding up” program we are offering an exceptional polled _ heifer bred to the 612X2 bull that is making his own
mark in the true 3/8 x 5/8 Brangus breed.
*The show heifers that are halter broke and at the side of cows are without a doubt the best we have ever sold. You will see some
of these in the Winner’s Circle at a later date!
*The herd bull prospects are just that…true herd bulls in the making. If you need performance, guts, bone and a good touch of
eye appeal in your herd, then here are 8 of them and they all have it……
Most importantly, we feel this is the best uniform set of young cows that have ever been offered for sale. Every one of these lots will
help keep you in the cattle business…either in your ET program or in the pasture. Not only will you stay in the cattle business, you’ll be
excited about it.
Hopefully, you will be able to come on Friday to view our offering and then join us for one of the best meals you have ever had. Our
Louisiana friends will be cooking their infamous steak supper. We would love to visit with you over great cattle and great food.
Please feel free to come any time prior to the sale and/or check out our website to view the cattle in action. If you are not able to make
our sale, we will miss you, but you will still be able to participate in our sale during the live auction on Sale day, May 4th at 1:00PM via
DVAuction. Just as our cattle are always improving, our technology is improving, as well.
