Welcome
Friends,
On behalf of our GENETRUST partners, the entire crew at Chimney Rock Cattle Co., Gail and I want to
welcome you to the 6th annual GENETRUST at CHIMNEY ROCK BULL & FEMALE SALE November 2 and 3.
Last year in this letter I spoke of the opportunities in the cattle business. With the combination of the
historically small U.S. cow herd, the demand for beef domestically and globally, I feel the future is very bright for the
commercial cowman and therefore the registered seed stock producer.
At this time last year our Friends and Partners in Texas were suffering from one of the worst droughts in recent
times. Well, this year it was our turn in the Midwest and man, it has been tough. As I write this, Isaac stopped by with 5
inches and we have had a couple more rains since. We are looking better. I bring the drought up because it has become
very apparent in our industry that we have to become even more aware of input costs and efficiency. That is why I
feel that GENETRUST’S use of all available tools: AI, ET and EPD’s, plus Craig and Vern’s travels across the country
evaluating many cattle herds puts GENETRUST in the best possible position to offer our Friends the most up-to-date
genetics to help them be successful.
Please plan on joining us Friday night for the customer appreciation dinner following the Registered Female sale.
Sincerely,
Bill Davis
