Welcome
Fellow cattlemen and friends,
Nancy and I would like to invite you to the 4
th
Annual Spring GENETRUST Registered and Commercial Female
Sale at our Neches River Ranch in Jacksonville, Texas.
This year’s offering will be made up of 150 registered and 400 commercial females. The registered female event
is highlighted by the total dispersal of the R and S model cattle from many of the GENETRUST member’s herds. Out of
these cattle you will find many donor cows as well as many proven producers that have been a big part of the backbone
behind the success of the GENETRUST bull sales. This will be a great opportunity to add to or start a Brangus purebred
program for many breeders. These cows are still in the prime of their lives and are highly productive cattle. In addition
we will also have open and bred heifers as well as quite a few other younger cattle coming from GENETRUST members,
several cooperators and customers.
On the commercial offering, we have reached out this year to get to 400 head. Our goal is to build this into a
consistent annual event. We feel the outlook for the beef industry is positive even though many areas are suffering from
dry weather and drought. The Spring commercial female sales around the area have shown strong demand for good
young cattle. We feel like this will be the strongest offering of commercial Brangus cattle that you will find this Spring at
one event and hope you will appraise and give consideration for these good young cattle that we are bringing. There will
be lots of variety including almost half will be pairs or heavy bred. In addition we will have a large group of bred heifers
for early fall calving as well as open heifers ready to breed.
As we did last year, we plan on starting the purebred sale at 10 AM and break for lunch, then start the
commercial female sale right after that and have a snappy sale where we can get you out by early afternoon.
Look forward to seeing you and hope you can make it out Friday to preview all of the cattle and joins us for a
steak dinner that evening at the ranch.
.
Sincerely,
Joe Cavender
