The Hedrick family has been involved in the Hereford seed stock business since 1926 when Perry Hedrick,
Gary’s grandfather, purchased his first Hereford female. Today one-third of White Hawk Ranch’s cow-herd
traces to Woods Domino III, a herd sire for Perry Hedrick and sons in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s.
Our mission at White Hawk Ranch is to produce problem free beef cattle that come easily at birth, excel
in growth, have value added carcass merit, and are highly maternal to replenish the herd.
The bulls are developed on a high roughage ration (haylage) to assure longevity, durability and fertility.
We believe in developing the bulls this way so the bulls are able to go out and perform the job that
genetically they are produced to do. This program in our opinion develops the bull at about 80% of their
maximum gain at 365 days.

With the limited semen that White Hawk ranch has
and 2328’s untimely death we have decided to take
his semen off the open market and offer it twice a
year at public auction with one of those being at the
annual BeefMaker sale. 20 more units will be offered
in 2013 at another public auction to be determined
later, but these 40 units will be the only semen offered
by White Hawk Ranch in 2013.

The now deceased Herd Sire for White Hawk Ranch is
a trait leader in seven different traits. He is unmatched
by any bull in the Hereford breed in WW, YW, and CHB.
2328 is a proven performance bull who not only adds
pounds and maternal ability but keeps style in his progeny.
The daughters are making tremendous brood cows with
beautiful udders and heavy milk flow.

His progeny have posted average progeny ratios of
83 @ 106.1 for WW, 57 @ 102.6 for YW and 62 @ 102.1
for REA.
