Explanation of Ratings on the Angus Bulls Selling
First, I want to
emphasize
that every bull in this sale has met all our standards for quality and we would recommend to any
calf or packer buyer the calves out of any bull in the sale. However, to help our customers save time sale day, and make decisions
and improvements on non EPD traits for their herd, we have rated the bulls for three traits with

being the highest
rating and
H
being the lowest between the bulls in this sale. In the past, we have used long footnotes to describe the phenotypic
differences in the bulls and we think this system is more comprehensive. These rankings are generally to measure where these
bulls rate within our herd; but they’re also compared to Angus bulls across the Angus breed in general. i.e. One person may want
to emphasize calving ease where as another person may need a change in frame size.

= Calving Ease - Based on birth weight, birth EPD, 3 generations of pedigree and physical traits of the actual bull

= Disposition - Every bull in this sale is very acceptably tame. However we scored the difference when in a small 12x12 pen by
themselves with people in each corner.

Timeless is a breed leading growth sire for both weaning and yearling weight. In addition, his carcass and maternal
numbers are impressive and some of his first progeny RFI tested proved to be very efficient. He will improve
length, pay weight, and depth of rib in a tame, complete, structurally correct package. He is also an impressive
individual with all the extras. His first daughters in production are nice uddered and proven producers of high
performance. If you sell cattle by the pound, Timeless is an easy choice. They are long and moderate at birth
and absolutely perform consistently with pay weight and market weight flexibility.

with a Residual Feed Intake of -11.4 as he consumed just 14.2 pounds of feed per day and 1.3% of his body

Executive was the outstanding high performing winner of the West Virginia bull test where he proved to also be
one of the most efficient and low Residual Feed Intake bulls. He is long bodied, thick ended and is siring real
