Dear Producers,
It’s hard to believe that we are welcoming you to the FOURTEENTH ANNUAL Landon
Hays Memorial Angus Sale. It seems like only yesterday we were scurrying around trying
to get our first sale off the ground. And what a task it was.
Thanks to you, our customers, we have been able to grow this event from the inaugural
one hundred head auction to a little more than eleven hundred head this year. We hope
each of you realizes how very important you are to our operation and we thank you from
the bottom of our hearts for your continued support.
At Hays Brothers, we consider you our customers, also our partners. Not only do we offer
you a place to purchase your Herd Sires and Replacements Females, through our buyback
program, we offer you a place to market your calves, cull cows, and bulls, at top prices,
no shrink, no commission, and get paid when you leave. Should you wish to retain
ownership on your calves, talk to us about feeding them at Rio Bravo Cattle Company
in Headly, Texas. Do you want to save money on your animal health supplies? Talk to us
about the program we have set up with Stockman’s Supply where you, our customers, can
take advantage of our volume buying discounts. As in any partnership, if the endeavor
doesn’t benefit both parties involved, it’s not much of a partnership.
As always our auction will be the third Saturday in March. Be sure to join us for lunch at
11:00 a.m.. with the auction beginning promptly at 12:30 p.m. If you need any assis-
tance please feel free to call.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EACH OF YOU!!
Sincerely,
Mike Hays & Clark Hays

Dear Friends and Neighbors,
When have you ever seen a better time to be in the cattle business? We are dealing with un-
precedented prices for calves, feed prices lower than we have seen in quite sometime,
and fats are trading at a buck sixty. It’s hard to fuss very much about this scenario.
Barring unforeseen catastrophes, the fundamentals for the cattle markets appear very bright
for the future. If you have the availability of excess forage, and investment in cattle sure makes
more sense than a 0.75% C.D.
If you fall into the above mentioned group, or you just need to expand your present operation,
you’ll want to take a close look at what the Hays Brothers are offering this year.
Look for two year old Angus herd sires, registered Angus heifers both bred and open, and about a thousand head of commercial
heifers both bred and open. The commercial heifers will be predominantly Angus type, Brangus type, and black white faced.
Many of these heifers were A.I.’d to theoretically calve in a two week period of time. They will be sorted into uniform lots and
sold in five to ten head groups with the option to roll. If you want to load a bumper pull or a double deck, either way, it won’t
take long to load your carriage.
Ribeyes will be served at 11:00 a.m. with the auction following promptly at 12:30 p.m. If you can’t make it to the auction, bid
live at
.
I look forward to seeing you at the auction. Should you need any assistance please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
