Our history in the Angus business started over 75 years ago with
our dad Charles, his brother and their father before World War II.
After the war the registered Angus herd of Jay Marcy and Sons be-
gan in earnest. 75 years later we have had our 54th Annual Angus
bull sale in 2015 that averaged $8,408 on 162 bulls. We continue
the tradition of raising the very best Angus cattle for our customers
that we can.
Our original and best cow families selling in this sale started from
the base of these females. You can note on the following page, the
descendants of Marcy’s Erica 118 trace back to a foundation Erica
cow owned by Jay Marcy and sons in 1945. The prolific Pride and
Ethelda E cow families do the same.
In one day you can appraise and purchase cows with over 75 years of intense genetic selec-
tion pressure which has resulted in no-nonsense, productive, top quality females that annual-
ly produce one of the top bull sales in the nation.
Our father Charles Marcy, he rode
horses well past his 80th birthday.
