About 2 weeks after we bought this bull we changed his name to Rockstar. With
the 6th calf crop hitting the ground this spring the name has proven to very
fitting. Rockstar is DNA tested to be homozygous black and homozygous polled
and we like to tell people he has proven homozygous quiet for disposition.
Rockstar has sired very successful show cattle. On the National stage Rockstar
heifers have done very well, in 2013 a Rockstar heifer was named Spring Heifer
Calf Champion and 2015 Rockstar sisters were named Reserve World Champion
pen of 3 Purebred Heifers. The Rockstar daughters that now in production have
vey correct tight udders, are super good mothers, and have the fleshing ability
and temperament to be long lasting productive brood cows. Until last year a
large portion of our Rockstar bulls went through the Midland Bull Test and Sale
in Columbus, MT. Awards at Midland include, World Champion Pen of 3 in 2013
and highest ADG sire group in 2015.
In 2014, at Decatur County Feeders in Oberlin, KS, we finish 13 Rockstar steers.

In 2015, at Dinklage Feedyards in Proctor CO, we finished 13 Rockstar steers and
2 steers out of a son of Rockstar.
