Welcome to our 45
th
Annual “Progress Thru Performance” bull sale.
We are very proud of the genetics offered this year in our sale. These bulls are put through multiple tests
and continue to perform at near the breeds best levels in many traits. The composition and disposition of
these young herd sires continues to be a priority of our customers and it shows. We are very critical of our bulls
and if they don’t make the grade, we knife them! This year the top 65% of the calf crop made the sale.
This year we PAP tested all of the fall Angus bulls. We realized some of the lowest individual scores we have
ever posted. Although where there was no sorting at all, this year we lost some bulls to brisket. Knowing the
pain of animal loss, it’s easy to understand those of you at altitude have a priority that has no substitute. The
feet and legs really held up good this year on the mountain.
We encourage you to view videos of the bulls at DVAuction.com as they should be available several weeks
before the sale. With the brutal cold we won’t take much hair off the bulls for still pictures.
I encourage you to look closely at the fall Charolais and spring yearling Angus bulls. They are both the best
we have ever offered.
We ask you to look closely at the first breeding season guarantee as there were some small changes made.
As always we cannot thank you, our customers, enough over the last 45 years for your support. There are
bull sales everywhere, and to have you come join us and evaluate and buy our genetics for all these years has
been most humbling to our family.
