Dear Angus Friends,
Welcome to our 37th Annual Production Sale. It takes much hard work by family, friends, and custom help to put on a
sale of this magnitude and quality. We are appreciative of that support and look forward to seeing everyone on sale day to
celebrate our 64th year in business.
In 2014, we were very honored to receive the “Seedstock Commitment to Excellence Award” from the Certified Angus Beef
LLC organization. The Molitor operation intends to fulfill the confidence showed to us for this award. We see firsthand the
positive impact the CAB Brand makes through our ownership of the Lumberyard Steakhouse at Zenda beginning in 2010.
At Molitor Angus, we use genetics with the CAB qualification in mind and emphasize higher marbling and carcass weight
EPDs. We do seek to increase rib-eye area as long as it does not adversely affect birth weight and mature size.
The sale bulls are impressive and have been grown on a high roughage diet to gain about 3.15 lbs. per day. The day to day
feeding of these bulls allows us to monitor their development from weaning to sale day. Our feeding system still gives the
bulls the opportunity to compete against each other and exhibit their superior gain potential. Past customers have indicated
their satisfaction with the condition and soundness of our sale bulls.
The yearling females selling were selected because they have maternal sisters that remain in the herd. They demonstrate
the replacement quality of their cow families. The fall calving bred cows have
top genetics and are bred to LD Emblazon 999 and KG Solution 0018 with
HA Outside 3878 (Ref. B) following up as the natural service sire. A 60 day
pregnancy check was done on 02-01-16 and available on a sale supplement
sheet.
At Molitor Angus we keep abreast of all aspects of the beef industry by
having an investment in every major segment of that business. We try to
breed cattle that fill all aspects of those segments and continue to find and
use great sires that are an outcross to many Angus Bloodlines. This year’s
new bloodlines are Basin Payweight 1682.

high-performing cattle backed by generations of calving-ease traits. As the beef industry continues to demand quality Angus

reliable calving-ease genetics, plus an outstanding group of replacement females with long-term potential. 120 bulls and 60
females will sell, including 40 yearling heifers and 20 fall calving females.

LD Emblazon 999, the proven Molitor herd sire who has joined the ABS Global AI Stud.
The Molitor program was established in 1952 with an emphasis on a combination of calving-ease, performance, carcass
and disposition, for an impressive EPD average. In 2014 Molitor Angus Ranch was honored with the Certified Angus Beef
Seedstock Commitment to Excellence award.
