TRUCKING:
We will be glad to assist in making the best possible truck-
ing arrangements. We offer free delivery within 300 miles on all bulls
purchased and if further than 300 miles on a total purchase of $5,000 or
more, bulls will be delivered to a central point. Delivery will begin April
1st, if bulls need to be left longer than that, a $3.50 per day charge will
apply. Heifers should be picked up sale day, but if not possible Black
Velvet Cattle will be happy to assist with delivery arrangements for heif-
ers purchased, at the expense of Buyer.
INSURANCE:
Will be available sale day through Conover Auction Ser-
vice, an American Livestock Agent.
LIABILITY:
All persons attending this sale do so at their own risk, legal
or otherwise for their safety or the behavior of the animals. The Owners,
Auction Service and Sale Staff assume no liability for property loss or
any accidents that may occur.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
From the block will take precedence over the
sale book. Buyers unable to attend may send their bids to any Field
Representative or our Auctioneer.

mentary lunch on sale day.
VOLUME DISCOUNTS:
There will be a discount of $50 per bull that
are picked up sale day or picked up before April 1 at Black Velvet. A 3%
volume discount is offered on 3 bulls purchased, a 4% volume discount
is offered on 4 bulls purchased, and a 5% volume discount is offered
with a minimum purchase of 5 or more bulls. Discounts do not apply to
females.

Dear Friends & Fellow Cattle Producers,
Welcome to our 7th Annual Production Sale. It’s still an exciting time to be
in the cattle business, even after last year’s all-time high, we are at the second
all-time high for cattle prices. However, expenses are always high, so it’s a good
time to take advantage of our offering to get top quality genetics at a reason-
able price.
Due to our growing pains, top bulls have been purchased in the past at Black Velvet Cattle at a
30% discount
of the national average
for Angus bulls. That is LIKE getting a 30% discount on a TOP BULL in addition to all other discounts we already offer, such as volume dis-
counts and haul your own bull discounts. Think what YOU could do with that extra cash in your pocket and still take home TOP QUALITY
GENETICS with GREAT COW POWER behind them! That is called BUYING SMART!
We feel our offering this year is our best ever, we say that every year, but that is our goal! It is called PROGRESS, for YOU and us! Some
new bloodlines are offered, Musgrave Black Loch, Musgrave Big Sky, SAV Brilliance, Barstow Cash and Jindra Double Vision and sires we’ve
offered in the past that have worked really well. Our bulls are fed a growing ration to gain a respectable 2 to 3 pounds per day. This year we
weaned our calves on the cow with nose rings for one week before we brought them home from grass. It definitely affected our weaning weights
to the contrary, but it gave a great advantage in getting them started with limited sickness and stress after we brought them home. They took
to feed better and had very limited bawling.
We are offering 27 replacement heifers that will be ready to breed, some of which are off of the top of our herd. We are also offering 12
bred young cows, some of which are natural bred to Musgrave Concourse 443-1214, the good Connealy Consensus 7229 son from Musgrave
Angus.
Feel assured that the cattle in our offering will go to work for you with built in maternal qualities, high growth potentials, carcass qual-
ities, good dispositions and phenotypes. Don’t hesitate to visit with us about your needs in a bull. If you have retained heifers in your herd
from a previous Black Velvet bull just ask Deb to help you find one that will work for you. She knows what you have purchased in the past
and can steer you in the right direction on your bull selection. Just give her a few days heads-up for her to do the research.
All the cattle selling today are tested free or have no ancestry at risk for AM, NH, CA, D1 or M1. We have tested for DD all animals that
had that potential and if they are a carrier it will show as DDC by their names. Neither OH, nor DD, are recognized as Lethal Defects by the
American Angus Association, so registration is not affected and those animals are still recognized by the Association.
Remember, our breeding season guarantee is a good one, whether you purchase the top bull or the least expensive one. Your bull is important!
