We purchase Pilgrim in 2013 from Musgrave Angus in Illinois. A long way travelled to source some genetics we
couldn’t find elsewhere. The herd was toured and a strong set of bulls were sorted through. Pilgrim offered what we
were looking for a fresh genetic package that wasn’t readily available up here with all of the traits we require. He was
a calving ease trait bull with a 72 lbs birth weight with a nice performance package and boasted a 17.2 in adjusted
ribeye. Used heavily on the heifer calves he proved to be very successful. Calves are born to quick to even catch at 2
hour interval checks they are already out, up and nursing.

Musgrave Black Loch was a featured Foundation son we purchased at Musgraves 2014 bull sale. He is a heavy
muscled calving ease sire that offers an outcross pedigree to Final Answer and In Focus. Wide based and square
hipped, Black Loch is sound and athletic with great hoof shape. His predictable pedigree supports his good scrotal
development, large capacity, and phenotype. He is a strong topped 6.3 frame with extra bone and strong mater-
nal strengths. His carcass traits were a bonus with a 6.17IMF and 15” ribeye. Black Loch has followed the path of
Pilgrim in calving easy with vigorous calves, that start out small but don’t lack in growth.
