Dear Producers,
Thank you for taking time to review our 2016 Bull Sale Catalog.
When we had our first sale 26 years ago, we never dreamed we
would be one of the largest seedstock producers in America.
Thank you to our customers for being a part of that! Without
support of any product, it will fail.
2016 has brought changes! Megan and Chad got married on
6/11/16 and a good time was had by all. Chad will start helping
us this fall.
We did not get the Angus bulls freeze branded this year-
SORRY!
Between the heat, rains (which were great) fly season, and items
beyond our control, we failed. I know it is a handy ID for you, and
we will not let it happen again.
Our customer service and guarantees (1
st
and 3 year) are still
unmatched in the world since 2010. Others are starting to offer
a guarantee, but if you read the fine print, we were the first and
still are the best guarantee in the business.
Outcross genetics
are important in any commercial operation.
We try very hard to find proven bulls that still bring in some out-
cross blood for our customers. The new sire groups are in this
year’s sale.
Mature cow weights
are also a concern for many producers
throughout the U.S. and we think it is a legitimate concern. That
doesn’t mean tiny cows—but it doesn’t mean 1700# cows either!
Balance is still a good place to be. We have a portion of the sale
offering that are bulls that will help reduce mature cows size or
at least maintain it.
We still believe that the operations that can utilize mid-range
weight cows and put terminal bulls on them, will still yield the
most pounds at the lowest overall cost. Mid-range cows will al-
low more cows on the same amount of grass, maintain with less
cost, and still wean the extra pounds created by terminal bulls.
That can be Charolais or terminal Angus. That way you still profit
from pounds and cost savings on cow feed, that’s profit too!
Angus bulls will sell
first, then Charolais.
The sale usually takes
3 to 3.5 hours to
complete.
Thanks for any inter-
est—please let us know
if we can help.
