Nancy and I, all of the staff at Cavender Ranches and all of the GENETRUST partners want to
welcome you to our 11th Annual GENETRUST at Cavender’s Neches River
Ranch sale. We think that we have put together a great set of cattle for your
consideration.
Our industry this year is experiencing outstanding demand, lower
feed costs and in most parts of the country have had above average
rainfall. We, at GENETRUST, feel that we have the genetics that will go
out and help both our commercial and purebred customers sustain this
positive momentum. Thru rigid quality criteria and intensive selection in
the top cowherds, we have continually put forth a uniform and consistent
product that our customers expect and trust us to produce. With careful
selection of top genetics and a sound marketing plan we can all look forward
to success in our industry.
This year, as in the last few years, you will see that we are growing our numbers into an even bigger
sale. We are selling 220 Brangus and Ultrablack bulls, 100 Charolais bulls and almost 500 commercial
Brangus and Ultrablack heifers. The quality is extraordinarily deep in both the bull and female offering.
In the Brangus bull offering, we are excited to have more of the highly demanded Ultrablacks this
year, with several 2nd generation Ultrablacks in this offering as well. We think this sale has good bulls from
end to end and the top cut in both coming twos and yearlings is the deepest ever. You can buy these bulls
with even more confidence now, as this year most of the bull offering is backed with Genomically Enhanced
EPD’s, which significantly increases the accuracy and dependability of their EPD projections equating to
more confidence in your selection. This is the 4th year of our Charolais offering. The Sturgess family’s
Double S Ranch is once again our Charolais partner on that side of things. You will see consistency and
uniformity throughout the Charolais bulls and feel like both of our programs have made another step up in
quality as we grow the Charolais offering.
In the female offering, you will see a large selection of nearly 500 head, starting with a great selection
of Brangus pairs and a large group of heavy bred Brangus heifers, with the balance of the commercial
offering being open, breeding age females. You can buy these quality females with confidence knowing that
we have hand selected the calving ease GENETRUST Brangus bulls they are bred to and can look forward to
a coupon with extra value on their first calf, coming out of quality GENETRUST Brangus bulls. Young, high
quality females have, and continue to be in higher demand than we have ever seen in the industry before,
and the deck is stacked deep in this offering.
