Gundy Cattle CompanY:
50 Head
Brent and Sandra Gundy run several hundred
head of mature cows near Nevada, MO on fescue where
cattle are expected to perform to the fullest extent. There
are no frills and no pomp and circumstance. It’s the cow
business 24/7 and as a result they have developed an
extremely functional cowherd that thrives on fescue and
do it in the real world. The Gundy’s have dug deep and
are offering 50 head of Brangus and Ultrablack spring
calving bred heifers out of the front end of their program.
These heifers have been sorted and culled down from over
250 of their contemporary heifer mates and there are none
held back. These were the only heifers Brent and Sandra
intended to keep from the spring calving 2013 calf crop.
These heifers were exposed to calving ease GENETRUST
Brangus and Ultrablack bulls from 6-10-14 through 8-30-

clean-up bulls average EPDs rank in the top 10% for CED
& BW, 25% Milk & IMF, 35% REA and 40% WW, YW and
SC, with an average actual BW of 69#. As evidenced in
the pasture and on paper, Brent and Sandra buy bulls with
calving ease but expect way more.

How theywill sell
Heifers will be penned at the sale site in pens ranging in number from 10 to 25 head. We will video the
cattle as a pen and will show that video as that pen of cattle is being sold. The cattle will not be run through
the ring but as stated earlier most can be viewed at the sale site prior to the sale in their pen. We will
produce a sale order for cattle selling and each pen will be split into several groups. As each pen comes up
for sale we will sell the first group and the winning bidder will have, at the discretion of the sale personnel
and auctioneer, the right to purchase the next group of cattle in that pen and each succeeding group of
cattle in that pen until that pen is sold. If the purchaser does not take the option to buy the next group of
cattle that group will be sold and, at our discretion, that buyer will be given an option until that pen is sold
and we proceed onto the next pen of females.
