The Red Alliance is a unique cooperative effort of Red Angus Breeders from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas
and Iowa. We formed our team in 2003 and the event in Sulphur Springs on October 1 and 2, 2017 represents our
20th sale and our third sale in Texas. The Red Alliance has an outstanding track record and is credited with greatly
expanding interest in Red Angus cattle throughout the Central United States.
Through the years, we have gained many friendships and loyal customers and have influenced registered and
commercial beef herds across the region. We sincerely appreciate your interest in the Red Angus cattle we produce
and look forward to serving your needs for many years to come.
Our unique structure of each Red Alliance member selecting genetics, breeding schemes and blood lines
independently allow us to offer you a variety of breed leading types and kinds of bulls and females.
For this sale offering, with only three exceptions, the bulls were developed in large grass pastures. Our goal for
this sale was to develop our bulls in a manner that would condition them to the rigors of the real world and have
them fully acclimated to living on forage for the rest of their lives. They have been in grass pastures at Hageman
Ranch in Sulphur Bluff, Texas or 3J Farms in Ravia, Oklahoma since April, 2017. There won’t be any “melting
down” of these age-advantaged Red Angus bulls. There are no yearling bulls in this sale. Every bull will be ready
for heavy and immediate service to your cow herds.
Due to the abundance (possibly overabundance for many) of rain in vast areas of Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and
Louisiana there is a tremendous amount of grass and hay available this year. Graze those pastures with cattle that
you purchase from Red Alliance!!
In this offering you will find calving ease bulls for use on heifers, high carcass quality bulls as well as growth and
power bulls. As we have done in the past we are utilizing and identifying bulls that qualify for the Top Dollar
Angus program. Each bull that qualifies will be designated with the Top Dollar Angus logo in their pedigree.
If you are looking to build a herd of the most beautiful female cattle in the industry look no further than Red
Alliance. There will be an excellent assortment of registered females that will truly be the herd building kind. So
many folks are wanting these females because they are hard to find. We will have them in volume on sale day.
Lastly, we will have a very nice group of commercial Red Angus females. These are the hottest ticket in the cattle
industry for many reasons. We could sell pot load after pot load if they were readily available. Don’t miss this
opportunity to populate your pastures.
We decided to hold this sale on a Monday because we did not want to conflict with the many weekend school
events and family functions that occur in the fall. Heck, high school and college sport events (especially football)
are legendary here in our area, and we did not want to force families to go in different directions over the weekend.
The cattle will be available for viewing Sunday afternoon October 1. We will be serving hamburgers late
afternoon for visitors that decide to come view the cattle and meet our Red Alliance team.
Red Angus cattle continue to produce market premiums for reasons that are no longer a secret. Red Angus sired
calves finish to harvest weights faster than their black counter parts and do so with carcass quality equal to or
greater than. Red Angus sired commercial calves regularly top video auctions when competing head to head with
their black counter parts. As Will Sonnet used to say – no brag, just fact.
