Consignor: Bryan & Sherry Mackenzie / Brylor Ranch
Pincher Creek, Alberta / 403/627-8266
Let me prelude Bryan Mackenzie’s assessment of this heifer with the “how”
this heifer ever got into this sale. For several years, Bryan has been trying
to get me to the Brylor Ranch and take a look at his cattle. After his
statement in April 2012 that if I came and looked, I could select ANY 2
females from his bred heifers…I booked the flight and boarded United
Flight 988 on August 11th. To make a long story short, the second I saw
24Y, I said this heifer is selling in the Under the Influence Auction. Bryan
said she can’t, the Red Round-Up selection crew was here last week and
selected her for the Round Up. I then played my trump card and reminded
him what he had told me in April (and how far I had traveled and my time
invested). After lots of spirited discussion, I held his feet to the fire and Red
Brylor Fayet 24Y is headed to Emporia, Kansas and selling in the United
States! If you want to own one of the best Red Angus females I have ever
seen, get your money gathered – she won’t come cheap but she will
change your Red Angus program forever! –
KG
Absolutely stunning – maybe even electrifying! Could be the most amazing
female ever let go from Brylor in 50 years of raising these Red Angus.
Vidalia 24Y has an awesome disposition. Her dam, 43U, is an ET product
of the best breeding Rambo 502 son ever in Boomer. Fayet 4R was the
2nd high seller in the 2006 Fabulous Females Dispersal at $7250 to Top
Rung in Manitoba. The Granddam 760L was the $10 100 lead off bred
heifer in the 2002 Red Roundup to Fabulous Females. 24Y just about
brought Bryan out of his showing retirement in Canada! AI’ed to the $37
500 black/red carrier son of Kodiak 5R and Lakme 70M. –
