In the Bunkhouse
There's a bunkhouse in the barn
Where Terry sleeps out at the farm
During calving time.
He has a couch and a bed and food;
It's warm and dry and quiet, too,
Except the nights a cow next door
Makes a bovine uproar.
There are those that stomp and crash
about,
Those that moan, and those that beller.
Terry goes out every few hours
To check the cows in the corrals
And bring in those that need inside.
They're usually just overnight guests,
But they surely wear their welcome thin
When they don't let Terry back to sleep again!
