SMC Annabelle
COW BORN: 5/18/11
TATTOO: C129
Breeder:
Shuter’s Sunset Farm, Frankton, IN
Consignor: Shuter’s Sunset Farm, Frankton, IN
SMC Annabelle finds herself in the same situation as our other consignment to this
year’s KBE. She wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for circumstances outside of her control.
She was a pen mate to our other consignment this summer at a neighbor’s house
and didn’t get exposed to the bull in a timely manner. When she was exposed, just
like our other consignment, she conceived on the first try. We set her up and hand-
mated her to Shuter’s Fuzz (211788) on 8/4/11, and she was preg checked safe to
that date, making her due around the 10th of May.
This little heifer turned heads when she was first offered for sale in the 2011 National
Sale in Danville, KY by the Simpson Calhoun Family. She was the calf at the side of the
high-selling pair that we bought that day. If it wasn’t for our PPM on this one, she definitely
wouldn’t be selling. We have been interested in trying to cross Mardan’s Ray’s Promise
genetics with our Tuff Enuff bred animals. Here is your chance to get some for yourself.

Doll’s C Bella
COW BORN: 5/3/11
TATTOO: D112
Breeder:
Shuter’s Sunset Farm, Frankton, IN
Consignor: Shuter’s Sunset Farm, Frankton, IN
Doll’s C Bella is a bred heifer that we picked up last year at the Kentucky Beef Expo
from Doll’s Red Polls. A neighbor girl showed her in 4-H and at the Junior Preview
Show last summer where she was named Reserve Division II Female. Because of
her location this summer, we weren’t able to get her bred until later in the season.
We set her up and hand-mated her to Shuter’s Fuzz on August 4th, making her due
around the 10th of May and she was preg checked safe to that date. Fuzz is the
2011 National Champion Bull we raised. His pedigree blends two shots of Tuff Enuff
with some of the best Wiese Farms genetics we could find. We are pretty excited
about his future here and will be using him to cover most of the cows this summer.
We think this heifer, and especially the resulting calf, will offer a fresh new blend of
genetics for the new buyer. If it wasn’t for this later calving date, we wouldn’t be selling
this heifer, and it is no fault of her own. She’s really quiet and easy to work with and
will make a great addition to anyone’s herd.
