Open and ready to flush. Last fushed 2/13/2013.
This cow had her first calf at 27 months of age and that
Greise bull calf died with pneumonia when it was less than
a month old. We grafted a commercial twin on 607R44 and
she did an admirable job raising it. Her second calf was a
Blackhawk bull and it weaned an impressive 866 lb adjusted
weaning weight. She had a calving interval of 392 days after
3 natural calves before we finally identified her as a donor
prospect as a 5 year old cow. If we had known how good
a job she was going to do on the Blackhawk bull calf we
might have moved her into the donor pen sooner.
We have flushed this cow only 4 times, seven daughters
remain in my herd out of those flushes. A Next Step
daughter will move into my donor herd this spring. Two
Next Step sons averaged $5750 at the 2012 fall Genetrust
@ Cavender’s Bull Sale. She has three very nice Abrams bull
calves in the fall 2012 ET herd. I last flushed
this cow In February 2013 to Conneally
Concensus 7229. She sells open and ready
to flush with a nice North Star heifer calf
at side.
