Lombardi daughters are quietly making excellent cows. Her
dam, Miss Brinks Picasso 222K, was an outstanding donor
in the Camp Cooley program with maternal sibs to this lot
generating in excess of $90,000 in past sales. She records
a REA EPD in the top 30% of the breed and a BW EPD in
the top 35% of the breed. Her first calf arrived just as this
cow turned two years of age and was sired by Singletary
of Brinks 675R and was retained at Cavender’s for use as
a pasture sire and is regarded as one of the best sons of
Singletary. She should have a calf at side at sale time by
Onstar, the popular Jethro son that is working so well in
ours and Randy Schmidt’s herd.

Joe and Kenneth have reluctantly decided to part with this
young Singletary son that has done them an excellent job
as a pasture service sire in their program. He was retained
as a yearling because of his outstanding performance as he
ratioed 113 at weaning with an adjusted 205 of 674 pounds
and had a yearling weight ratio of 106 and recorded an
impressive REA ratio of 108. His appraisal at yearling was
that he was one of the deepest ribbed, strongest boned,
thickness and most moderate Singletary sons to have been
evaluated to that time. His calves have been impressive
and standout in their contemporary groups as his progeny
record an AWWR of 103. “Confidence” ranks in the top 25%
of the breed for four traits: weaning weight, yearling weight,
scrotal and rib eye area. If you are looking for a sire that
can add volume, base width and thickness in a moderate
framed package you should seriously consider this young
sire.
