Registration and Health:
All animals are registered. Health
papers will be handed out sale day to the
new owner upon complete payment of the
sheep. Transfer of registration papers will
be handled by the Sale Manager after the
sale.
All sheep must be accompanied
by individual Health Certificates or
duplicate copies of original certificate,
certified by a veterinarian that such
sheep and their flock of origin were
inspected within 30 days and free of any
contagious diseases.
Have veterinarian
double check state health requirements
as state requirements change often! Flock
ear tag numbers must be listed on health
certificate.
All rams 6 months of age and older
must be tested negative for Brucella ovis
within 30 days of sale, or must originate
from a negative status B. ovis flock.
All sheep must be free from foot rot,
blue tongue, and any other contagious
diseases. This information must also
appear on the certificate of veterinary
inspection or health certificate.
All animals must have an official Scrapie
Identification ear tag attached. Consignors
are encouraged to have Codon DNA tests,
but are not required to do so. Sheep are not
tested for OPP.
Shipping:
Each consignor will be responsible for
shipping arrangements of sheep purchased
on order. Shipping can be arranged by the
Sale Manager by truck to most all sections
of the country at a nominal cost if notified
in advance of the sale.
Entry Substitutions:
A bar beneath the number painted on
the animal’s back designates that it is a
substitute entry, meaning the information
about the animal is different than designated
in the catalog. Check with the consignor for
complete pedigree information.
Mail Bids:
If you cannot attend the sale in person, a
number of individuals will be able to handle
your bids. All mail bids must have pre-
approval by Sale Management prior to the
start of the sale. Sale management advises
that you contact us well in advance of the
sale if you are considering using a mail bid
at this sale.
